The Farmingdale Music Program ROCKS! We have an amazing music program in our district - and what an honor for the students to participate in Tuba Christmas!

I attended the Howitt Chorus concert last night - it was amazing to hear the wonderful results of all the hard work from our children and their teachers. It is a proven fact that the study of music contributes to a child's success across all their subjects. The study of music teaches a child discipline, organizational skills, and so much more. I am saying this, not as a parent of a chorus kid, but as one who benefitted from the study of music – the skills I learned when I studied music I use in and every day, in both my professional (financial field) and private roles. Taxpayers - give that some thought when it comes to budget time - what we have here in Fdale with our award winning music program is well worth our tax dollars and needs to be continued. To Worried Parent – the one who keeps bashing the music program and the it’s related costs - try writing in complete sentences with correctly spelled words if you want any of your 'comments' to be possibly taken seriously.
