Farmingdale High School Student Wins Rensselaer Scholarship

Farmingdale High School junior student Jacob Croes was recently awarded with the Rensselaer Medal presented by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

The award is presented to 11th grade students throughout the country who have excelled and distinguished themselves in various mathematics and science courses. Jacob was nominated to receive the award by his guidance counselor, Risa Herrero.

The Rensselaer Medal is awarded to encourage students to choose a career in the fields of science, technology and engineering. Jacob is now eligible to receive a minimum of $15,000 in tuition funds per year if he chooses to attend the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after graduating from Farmingdale High School in 2015.
