Farmingdale High School Students Raise Awareness of Cyberbullying

Students from Farmingdale High School and the Farmingdale School District’s Howitt Middle School recently created an anti-cyberbullying awareness program to teach their peers about internet safety and the vices of bullying.

The students were inspired by a previous cyberbullying presentation by Nassau County Police Officer Sharon Galvin.

The student groups created informational posters, flyers and messages to teach their classmates about internet safety.  In addition, the students held a bake sale to raise funds for the Long Island Crisis Center.

To date, the students have raised a total of nearly $400.
