The last time Farmingdale High School and Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School went head to head was on the football field. This time the communities will compete against each other in the high school quiz show, MSG Varsity's "The Challenge".
The first round match-up will take place Dec. 23 at 6:30 pm on Cablevision's Optimum, Channel 14.
Students will be tested on their knowledge of history, arts and literature, current events, math and science in front of a live studio audience.
Both schools will be competing against 31 other Nassau County schools during the regional rounds to qualify for Tri-State Championship Playoffs. The school awarded Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 for their school and $500 cash prize for every student that participates in the final "Challenge".
