Farmingdale School District Saves 600+ Lives

The district blood drive collected more than 200 units of blood.

The Farmingdale Council of PTAs collected 209 units of blood to benefit Long Island Blood Services at their annual community blood drive on Jan. 24.

Nearly 30 fifth grade students from , and Elementary Schools volunteered to help check in donors and distribute juice and cookies.

The amount of blood collected by the Farmingdale PTA will save an average of 627 lives. The next blood drive will be held on March 29 from 4-9 p.m. at Farmingdale High School.
