Farmingdale State Honors Students

Horticulture Committee notes academic successes.

The Farmingdale State College Horticulture Committee recently honored several students at a scholarship reception.

Hosted by former department chair Dr. Gary Brown, the event is well attended by students and their families. President W. Hubert Keen, Department Chair Michael Veracka and Farmingdale College Foundation member Margaret Fox-Jackson also offered congratulations to the students.

Keen said, “I always enjoy attending this event and getting a chance to meet the future leaders of the horticulture industry.  Our ornamental horticulture professors do an outstanding job preparing students to work in the industry.  And our gardens are a campus treasure.”
