More than 1,000 prospective students and their families are expected to attend to Farmingdale State College’s Fall Open House, rescheduled for Sunday Nov. 18 at Roosevelt Hall.
The Open House provides prospective students opportunities to interact with faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors, and take student-led tours. On the tours, students can see classrooms, labs and recreational facilities.
Optional visits to Orchard and Dewey Residence Halls will be offered. In key academic buildings, staff will be available to provide overviews of what goes on within the buildings.
There will also be shuttle vans to the Aviation Center, near Republic Airport. Tours of the sustainable garden will be available to all but will be of specific interest to students majoring in horticulture.
Farmingdale State College is undergoing $185 million capital campaign for a new Campus Center, School of Business, Children’s Center and renovated gymnasium. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
The Open House is the best way to see if a college is the right fit for you.
The event, which had to be rescheduled because of Hurricane Sandy, runs from 12-3 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome.
