Eighth graders in the Howitt Middle School technology class in Farmingdale recently participated in an interactive lesson using miniature rockets.
The students – who applied their knowledge incorporating Newton’s Laws of Motion – researched, designed and built the rockets and then launched them into the air.
Students then evaluated the results of their launches, including determining how high their rockets went and why.
