Howitt National Junior Honor Society Helps Animals in Need

Students learned about animal care as part of the process.

Farmingdale's Howitt Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently collected boxes of food and toys to benefit two local animal shelters in the community.

The honor society students created a school-wide drive to collect various supplies for abandoned dogs and cats.

During the process, the students learned about basic animal care, how to create a campaign and the importance of teamwork.
