Month-Long Charitable Efforts at Holy Trinity

Blood drive, food collection are big successes.

Holy Trinity's students and faculty continued a long tradition of charity during their annual fall “Day of Giving.”

On Friday, Nov. 16, the Diocesan high school held their annual fall blood drive and collected a record 223 pints of blood in the process. The campaign was kicked off Oct. 26 with the help of the school’s talented Select Choir, who created their first music video encouraging everyone to sign up for the Blood Drive.

Then, during the entire week of Nov. 12–16, the school held their Thanksgiving Food Drive. Pronto of Long Island arrived at the school to pick up their donations on Friday Nov. 16.

Holy Trinity students and faculty have also donated their time and efforts to help victims of Hurricane Sandy

The school will be holding its annual Christmas Toy drive in early December and will also support several other local and international non-profit organizations throughout the school year.

Holy Trinity High School is a private, co-educational Catholic high school founded in 1966 in Hicksville, drawing students from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties.  For more information, visit www.holytrinityhs.org.
