Patricia O'Regan, assistant principal of , is replacing the retiring Eve Dieringer as principal of Saltzman Elementary school.
Dieringer was honored by the Wednesday night. She said she had planned to simply retire but instead has decided to remain in education, taking a position with field placement at Molloy College.
