First grade students in the Farmingdale School District’s Northside Elementary School recently hosted their own toy donation drive after being inspired to give back to others during a classroom lesson on sharing.
Each student in Mrs. Cullinan’s class decided to celebrate the season of giving by bringing in one of his or her toys, which was in good condition, to their classroom and donate the toy to a local charity for other Long Island children to enjoy.
The amount of toys the students donated filled two large containers.
