More than 200 local residents got their heads shaved as part of the annual to benefit childhood cancer research.
"We currently have raised $94,000 for pediatric cancer research and anticipate raising over $100,000 when all the 'day of' donations are tallied and submitted," said co-organizer Monica Kuchinskas.
There were 219 volunteer “shavees,” including three women, who ranged in age from 2 years old to 77 years old at Jackie Reilly's on Sunday. Farmingdale merchants and others donated raffle prizes.
