No Summer Break for Incoming Principal

Patricia O'Regan will become Saltzman principal but only after attending to a family matter.

But first, Patricia O'Regan will stop to have a baby next month.

The assistant principal of the last six years, O'Regan will step into the shoes of the retiring Eve Dieringer at Saltzman.

O'Regan and her husband have two boys, Brendan, 5, and Patrick, 2.

The Baldwin native went to Molloy College for her bachelor's degree, concentrating in elementary education and math, C.W. Post for her master's in reading and Stony Brook University for her administrative certification.

She has been assistant principal at Woodward for six years, and previously taught for 10 years in Massapequa, AIS Math, sixth and fourth grades.

"I am thrilled to be staying in the Farmingdale community and becoming a part of the Saltzman family," O'Regan said. "I am looking forward  to meeting the children and their families and working with the talented and dedicated staff.  I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of this amazing district for the past six years, and I look forward to being a part of  the many accomplishments that are to come."
