Accomplishment Samantha Raifer and Ariela Deleon competed in and won the Long Island Family and Consumer Science (FACS) Professionals Challenge Contest Series. The students had to investigate four mall restaurant menus and create a scrumptious yet healthy meal. Following specific guidelines and figures, the duo won honors at the Long Island FACS Professionals End-of-the-Year Dinner and a grand prize of $100.
