Accomplishment: This team took first place in the Long Island Science Bowl back in January at Brookhaven National Laboratory. It was the team's first victory in the 20-year-old competition since the team was founded just three years ago. Farmingdale defeated both Half Hollow Hills High School West, who had placed second last year, and Ward Melville High School, who had won five of the last six Science Bowls. The tournament featured 25 teams total.

Chiu's specialty is math, Kantharia's is biology, Rousselle's is chemistry and Cavallo's is physics and astronomy.
