Farmingdale Lacrosse Coach Earns Prestigious Honor

Bob Hartranft awarded Gerald J.Carroll Award.

Bob Hartranft, Farmingdale High School boys’ varsity lacrosse coach, has received the prestigious 2013 Gerald J. Carroll Award, presented by US Lacrosse.

The award, presented by US Lacrosse, recognizes one high school coach whose success is best measured in the support and guidance given to the development of student-athletes, school officials said.

Coach Hartranft was presented the award during the 2014 US Lacrosse Convention recently in Philadelphia, PA.

“It is a tremendous honor to have one of our role models be recognized on a national level,” said John Lorentz, Farmingdale School District Superintendent of Schools.

“The Farmingdale School District is dedicated to developing all our students into well-rounded adults, and Bob Hartranft has played a critical role in ensuring that our students-athletes hold themselves to the highest standards both on and off the field,” he said.
