Farmingdale's stand-out season rolled on Saturday with a 28-0 defeat of Plainview JFK in the quarterfinal round of the Nassau Div. I playoffs.
The Dalers, 7-1 on the regular season and ranked first in the division, used their overwhelming defense to contain Plainview (4-4) to just 49 yards on offense. In their Farmingdale dominated Plainview, 42-13.
Farmingdale, with its home-field scoreboard twisted to the ground by Hurricane Sandy, played before about 400 people on an overcast grey afternoon. Daler defenders sacked Plainview quarterback Alec Abramowitz nine times, including three by Chad Tomassetti.

Despite that, 8th ranked Plainview JFK stayed with Farmingdale through the first three quarters of Saturday's game. Its defense held Farmingdale's high scoring attack to just 7 points at halftime.
The second half went to Farmingdale, when quarterback Joe Valente completed 6-of-10 passes, including two touchdowns. One was to Kevin Petit-Frere, who scored on an 11 yard scoring pass that put the game away for Farmingdale.
Petit-Frere had eight tackles and two sacks defensively.
