Farmingdale State Women's Tennis Finishes First

Team scores 5-0 Record in Skyline Conference.

The Farmingdale State College Women's Tennis team finished in first place with a 12 - 2 record overall for the season and a perfect 5 -0 record in the Skyline Conference.

The final, played on Saturday, resulted in a 5-1 win against Purchase College.  This is the first conference title for the women since the program began in 2007.  The Rams will go on to compete in the NCAA Division III Championships in May.

Farmingdale swept the doubles matches to take the 3-0 advantage. In singles play, freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) gave the Rams a 4-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Purchase won at first singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win by Angela Assal. The win at fifth singles by freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) would secure the fifth and deciding set for the first-ever Championship for Farmingdale State Women's Tennis.

Freshman Priscilla Signore was named the Skyline Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, after posting a 4-0 record in the Conference Playoffs at first doubles and second singles.
