Farmingdale's Jenkins Turns in Big Performance vs. Plainview

Junior running back racks up 214 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's win.

Farmingdale Junior Curtis Jenkins had a career day Friday night, running for 214 yards and two touchdowns as the Dalers defeated Plainview, 42-13.

Plainview scored first on a shocking 52-yard run by Hawks' quarterback Alec Abramowitz in the first quarter. But undefeated Farmingdale countered with 28 unanswered first half points to take command of the game.

Jenkins' 18 carries highlighted a well-executed Farmingdale attack; Kevin Petit-Frere added 66 yeards and a touchdown and quarterback Joe Valente completed 4-of-9 passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. Petit-Frere also carried the ball five times for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Farmingdale, now 4-0 and in first place in Nassau Conference I, finished with a total of 376 rushing yards.

Plainview JFK, which opened its season with wins against Freeport and Hicksville, is now 2-2.
