Last Call: Sports Equipment Drive, Fundraiser
The drive provides equipment for underprivileged children who might not otherwise participate in athletics.
Farmingdale State College's Sport Management Club and Sigma Beta Delta concludes a week-long sports equipment drive and fundraiser on Saturday for Children's Sport Connection.
The drive is a joint effort of Victoria Green, president of SBD, and Paul Waszkiewicz, president of the Sport Management Club. They teamed up when they learned of the need for gently used or new sporting equipment for underprivileged children who might otherwise miss out on the life lessons learned through sports.
The effort is already seeing results.

“So far we have been able to raise over $200 and collect hundreds of pieces of sports equipment during the week,” Waszkiewicz said.
