PAL League is Ready for Some Flag Football

Season opener draws out the public officials.

Opening day of Farmingdale's Police Athletic League youth flag football league brought out the dignitaries recently.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the program which promotes dedication, teamwork, and good sportsmanship while players enjoy the game of football and develop skills in the sport, officials said.

Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto (back row, holding football) were joined by Council members Joseph Pinto and Michele Johnson and Town Clerk James Altadonna Jr. Nassau County Legislators Michael Venditto, Rose Walker, and Joseph Beles were there, along with state Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt and District Court Judge Rhonda Fischer.

Also pictured are the Commissioner of Flag Football Ray Webb, retired director George Mauro, President Russ Catanzaro and Sgt. Doug Kenah of the Nassau County Police Athletic League.
