  • Isabella Corrao, pitcher
  • Kristy Summus, third base
  • Tori Kornfeld, first base
  • Kat Zobielski, shortstop

Corrao is back in the pitching circle for Farmingdale as a senior and is looking to top last year’s performance. In 2010, Corrao led the Dalers to the Class AA semifinals. A three-time All-Long Island selection, she had a 0.86 ERA, 251 strikeouts, pitched two no-hitters and four one-hitters. She also batted .415 with two homers, a .652 OBP and walked five times in the semifinal.

“Isabella isn’t just one of the best pitchers in the league, she could be the best in the state,” said assistant coach Oppenheim.

In last year’s season opener Summus (third base) had three triples and three RBIs and ended up going 3-4 for the game. She continued to dominate offensively for the rest of the season and contribute to the team’s success.

Kornfeld will be the starting first baseman again and Zobielski will be commanding the infield at shortstop. Both players are in their senior year for Farmingdale and are looking to have tremendous seasons to bring the team to the top of their conference.

“Overall we are a well-rounded team, good defense, good timely hitting, and great pitching,” said coach Malone.

Expectations:  Farmingdale’s expectations this year is to be county champions. The Dalers head coach believes they have a good chance of doing so with a solid defensive team and key pitching.

“Every game this year is going to be a nail bitter,” said coach Malone.
