Tell Us: Hawks vs. Dalers: Who's Gonna Win?

Unbeaten Farmingdale hosts a rejuvenated Plainview team Friday night in a big football game.

Farmingdale and Plainview are two communities linked by an expressway and divided by a state park.

They are both similar and different places. Plainview folks hit the nightlife in Farmingdale; 'Dalers shop in Plainview.

But tonight the communities come together to face off in a football game that has taken on a bit of importance. The Plainview JFK Hawks travel to the Dalers' home field for a big game under the lights beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Plainview's football program has suddenly shown signs of renewed life. The Hawks come in with a 2-1 record. Farmingdale is undefeated and looks tough all around.

So, who's gonna win Friday night? Put on your school colors and sound off in the comments.

Patch will have complete coverage of the game Friday night and into Saturday.

Mara: Respectfully I agree with OB Resident. Plainview has an outstanding athletic program through the years. Many of these coaches work tirelessly with the kids. Football has not been its strength recently, but that's what is making this 2-1 record so exciting. Thanks for your comments. Keep 'em coming. jd

Mara, your comment is utterly stupid and from someone who obviously knows nothing about everything. The coaches Plainview HS have in place at most of their sports are people that have played and excelled in it themselves..Plainview is not a sports minded community and this is the biggest contributing factor to why most sports dont fair well.

In our house it's Plainview ALL THE WAY! Let's support our boys and coaches. They all dedicate hours and hours of their time and energy. The right thing to do would be to show a little neighborhood support, don't you think? GO HAWKS!!
