Video: Jets Fans Pack Changing Times

Highest attendance owner has seen in his 25 years of experience.

A Jets blow-up inflatable stood guard outside of Changing Times Sports Pub, where Farmingdale fans packed the bar to cheer on their team in the AFC championship game Sunday night.

Changing Times Owner Jeff Egan expected a lively atmosphere - a few customers even reserved specific seats in advance last week. “Some of my customers are very superstitious and they want to sit in the same seat so the Jets will win again,” he said. The pub offered 35 cent wings, $7 pitchers of Bud, Bud Light and Coors Light, $3 pints of Coors Light, $10 pitchers of Heineken, $10 pitchers of Blue Moon and a pitcher of Yuengling and a dozen of the pub’s famous wings for $12.

Egan was still recovering for last week's game.

“The Sunday game between the Jets and Patriots was utter pandemonium,” Egan said. “I’ve never seen anything like it in my 25 years of business. Nobody expected the Jets to win so as they took the lead, everyone was cheering, singing, and chanting the Jets name.”
