My husband and I recently purchased a house. Knowing we would be in need of furniture, friends of ours mentioned a store named The Place. Upon leaving our friends at nearby Winthrop Hospital, my husband and I decided to stop and take a look at this store, The Place. We had no intentions of buying anything. We really just wanted to look around and get some ideas. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a salesman, who asked if we needed any assistance. Like most people, we said "we’re just looking." We really were! After walking around for a brief time, I noticed the salesman was not far away from us. I thought, okay, if I need to ask a question, he’s close. The salesman was polite and considerate in keeping his distance. I appreciated the non-pushy approach.
Eventually, my husband and I did have a few questions. The salesman was kind, patient and definitely informative. My husband and I share the same taste and knew what were looking for. Unfortunately, my husband chose one style of furniture and I chose another. The salesman was able to give us information about each brand of furniture, making it possible for us to choose the better quality brand, which of course, was what I had picked out! After deciding on the furniture that we had no intention of buying, we needed to decide on fabric. Now, by no means is either of us decorators. The salesman was easy going, gave great advice and his opinion that picking out the fabric was so easy.
