It is very important that you know how much Stephanie at extension 149 assisted me in getting my furniture delivered in time for my party on May 7th.
I ordered a sectional for a total cost of $2400 on March 6, 2004. I advised the salesperson, Sheila, that I would need it for May 7. She told me that delivery is 6-8 weeks, but that this manufacturer usually delivers in 5 weeks. When I did not hear anything by mid-April I opened up my receipt envelope only to see that she had written 6-10 weeks in the delivery box. I recall signing the original receipt - but when she handed me the papers everything was folded into an envelope type folder. It was obviously my oversight not to be more wary of this practice of making sure the sale is finalized.
However, it was Stephanie who worked with me to move up what was to be a May 17th delivery date. The furniture arrived at the warehouse on Thursday, May 6, and was delivered, as promised by her, before noon, on Friday, May 7th. My guests for my daughter's confirmation party at 6Pm and everything looked wonderful. By the way, your delivery people were excellent, including the person who answered the phone and said it would be there by 10, it arrived at 9:57.
Why in the world didn't the salesperson advice customer service that she had assured me it would be no problem to have delivery in time for the party. Stephanie had said that she just wished she knew sooner of the promised date but she came through anyway. Thank goodness for Stephanie.
