Community Update

Several years ago my wife and I were fortunate, while looking for furniture, to venture into your store. We were amazed by both the number of styles and selections to choose from as well as the quality of the merchandise.
Fortunately, we have made several purchases from The Place and have been more than satisfied with each one of our choices. Not only do you sell quality merchandise but the service has been impeccable.
Yesterday, again while browsing; my wife came across a “secretary” piece that she thought would look perfect in the home we recently purchased in Arizona. After several inquiries, Kate, our salesperson, informed us that delivery would be eight in ten weeks. That presented a major problem as our relocation will occur in about five weeks. We did leave the store disappointed, but not before Mr. Richard Healy gave me some valuable information as to where else we may be able to locate a similar piece.
Today, I spent nearly the entire day, on the phone, calling stores both in New York as well as Arizona, trying to locate this piece of furniture. I was successful in locating several of these pieces, but with each came a “story”. So as a last resort, I decided to call again The Place and ask if perhaps I could purchase the floor sample and then the store could replace their model, but we would have ours in time for our move to Arizona.
Luckily, I spoke to Julia, who after listening attentively, she compassionately made several inquiries until she informed us that what I was asking could be done.
We immediately returned to the store, shortly before closing and Kate expeditiously wrote up the order and we were on our way. You cannot imagine how happy this made my wife. Most stores would have blown us off, but not The Place. From Julia, to Kate to Mr. Healy we were treated compassionately, caringly and professionally. These three people went out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. This is a rare commodity in today’s world.
