15th Annual DogFest Set for Saturday

Farmingdale State College setting for Canine Companions for Independence event.

The 15th Annual DogFest to benefit Canine Companions for Independence is set for Saturday at Farmingdale State College.

The DogFest walk-a-thon and canine festival includes a variety of pet-friendly family activities including a costume contest, food, raffles, and games. Other featured events include Snoopy’s® Canine Costume Parade (featuring Snoopy® himself!) Trick or Treat stops, a Canine Agility Course, Working dog demonstrations and goodies for both humans and pooches from local vendors.

Saturday's event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Farmingdale State College.

Canine Companions for Independence is the largest non-profit provider of trained assistance dogs with five regional training centers across the country. Established in 1975, Canine Companions provides highly trained assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities.
