Yesterday, Nassau County paid farewell to one of its finest. By all accounts, Highway PatrolmanRead More Joseph Olivieri was a cop's cop who made his family, his friends and his beloved department proud. All to often in today's fast past world we loose sight of the dedicated, tireless and vigilant service preformed by Nassau County's Finest. All to often the inherent dangers of the job surface and there are times when even one of the Finest falls. Let us remember this good mans sacrifice and for his commitment to put the safety and security of others first. Rest in peace Officer Olivieri. May God Bless you and provide comfort to all those suffering by your passing.

Don't you conspiracy theorists think that a cops kid (Mr.Ryan) would be the one avioidingRead More prosecution if all these scary theories you say are true???????? Did you miss that in the article?? I do agree--the Escalade should be looked into--but how do you know it wasn't???? Leave the law to the professionals. The lawyers make it entertaining enough. A police officer was killed performing his duties. I can promise you any and every avenue was checked and double checked, especially because of an officers death.

Yes this absolutely REEKS of politics and cover up. Did the driver of the Cadillac escalade give aRead More blood sample?? Why not?? They killed a police officer after all. Oh wait, I forgot, there was someone in the vicinity with a BAC of .09 An easy target for political gain. An easy scapegoat to get the connected Cadillac driver off the hook. Maybe a fundraiser for mr Ryan's defense is in order. We can't allow witch hunters to prevail. Not in the 21st century. And a special investigation should be conducted to determine why the Cadillac Escalade is not being held accountable for their actions.

the investigation is ongoing so the police cannot release details. at our last neighborhood watchRead More meeting, officials did say is that it was definitely a homicide, it was not gang related and it was not random. they also said that they are close to closing the case. Kyle Underhill was truly a special person. Please remember his life and not simply focus on his incredibly tragic death. http://judycangemi.wordpress.com/2011/11/26/in-the-shadow-of-his-death-remember-the-life-of-kyle-underhill/

"Tragic circumstances of his death" .... has a cause of death ever been determined? WasRead More this murder? Just because he hated kids in HS doesn't mean he committed suicide the following year.

Steve Jobs was one of the great visionaries of our time, and he was kept alive this long thanks toRead More an organ transplant. It should serve as a reminder to fill out our donor cards. Who knows what people can accomplish in those extra years?

When I was about to buy my first computer, PCs had flickering letter and numbers. I didn't have aRead More clue as to how I might work it. But the little Mac had a device to make the icons 'do' things. This I could understand. That was almost 25 years ago. I've been devoted to Mac products since --- iMac, iPad, iPhone. Steve Jobs was an incredible visionary who changed the way we work, the way we think and the way we interact with each other.
