The East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company Inc. was organized in 1926 and current membership consists of more than…More 170 men and women. The fire district covers approximately 16 square miles, bordered on the west by the Nassau County line, on the north by the Town of Babylon and Town of Huntington lines, on the east by Straight Path and Little East Neck Road, and on the south by the Southern State Parkway and the southern branch of the Long Island Railroad.</p> <p>The department currently operates under the Town of Babylon and began when the East Farmingdale area would no longer be protected by the fire services of the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale. The department headquarters is located on Conklin Street and also maintains other firehouse stations on Wellwood Avenue and Melville Road.</p>
