The mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle Regional Elementary School is to "provide a quality learning community…More rooted in academic excellence and the Catholic tradition." The school serves the St. James, St. Martin of Tours, St. Kilian and St. Pius X Roman Catholic parishes.</p> <p>The school's certified faculty teaches, among other subjects, religion, Spanish, music and physical education in an air-conditioned gym. There's a performance club, a Catholic Middle School sports program, a state-of-the-art computer lab, an art program and a library program. There is also before- and after-school care for students.</p>

St Kilian's has a long, rich history in Farmingdale, dating back to 1896 under the church's first pastor Rev.…More Father Gerard Spielmann. The church underwent a renovation as it approached the centennial celebration in 1995, where elements of the original church were preserved but additions were added to modernize it. </small></p> <p><small>Today the church is led by Pastor Rev. Msgr. Michael P. Flynn and hosts many ministries, a food pantry, the La Salle Regional School and a religious education program.</small></p>
