2 Pedestrians Hurt; Main Street Closed in S. Farmingdale

Conditions of victims unknown; cause is under investigation

Two pedestrians were badly hurt when they were struck by a vehicle on Main Street in South Farmingdale Tuesday afternoon.

Main Street in the vicinity of Daniel Drive was closed as a police investigation was conducted. The incident took place about 4 p.m. across from the County Line Shopping Center.

South Farmingdale firefighters responded to the scene and were transporting the victims to an area hospital, authorities said. Their conditions are unknown.

Both Suffolk and Nassau county police officers responded as well.

There were no further reports on the incident overnight. Patch will provide updates when they become available.
