Lexus Comes to Farmingdale, Resident Promoted, More Updates

Farmingdale Resident Honors County Executive:

Farmingdale's Mario A. Posillico, a Long Island Contractors’ Association (LICA) founder and Chairman of the Board of Posillico Inc., presented Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano with a highway safety light in honor of his ongoing dedication to road and bridge improvements despite the economy. Mangano was given the gift at the LICA's legislative breakfast.

Lexus of Massapequa Relocating to Farmingdale:

Lexus of Massapequa has acquired a new space on Rte. 110 in Farmingdale, where it hopes to be completely relocated to by the end of 2011. Currently, Lexus of Massapequa is located at 4950 Sunrise Hwy., Massapequa Park but their service department is at 141 Albany Ave., Amityville.

"We're moving to better service our customers," said General Manager Anthony Tocante. "A bigger location allows us to have sales and service in one place."

Seigerman's of Farmingdale Closes:

Seigerman's Furniture of Farmingdale, located at 50 Price Parkway, officially closed its doors to the community last week after several years of service. The store was technically closed Tuesday, March 8 but held one final sale through the end of the week in an attempt to sell the last of the inventory before the weekend's auction. The store manager declined to comment.

Farmingdale Resident Promoted to Audit Manager:

R.S. Abrams & Co., an Islandia-based accounting and consulting firm recently promoted three auditors. Farmingdale resident, Daniel J. Ruckdeschel, has been honored with the position Audit Manager. Prior to his promotion, Ruckdeschel held the position of senior auditor. During his time at R.S. Abrams, he has also become the the chairperson of the firms Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee.
