Uva Wine & Spirits Now Open on Main Street

New addition to downtown is called part of Farmingdale revival.

Joanna and Rob Bernardini recently opened Uva Wine & Spirits at 309 Main Street in Farmingdale Village.

Rob Bernardini makes wine and was in sales for many years before looking for a new challenge.

“Uva is a great addition to the variety of stores on Main Street, Rob and Joanna offer great customer service and are wine connoisseurs," said Mayor Ralph Ekstrand. "They can help with pairing specific wines with food, and selections for special occasions and gifts. “Local Residents are coming back to Main Street. Farmingdale Village is a destination.”

Patch asked Rob and Joanna about their new venture:

Q. Why did you choose Farmingdale?
A. “I researched a lot of areas and really liked Farmingdale. With the revitalization and all that is going on in the village we are glad to be part of the movement to bring back Main Street.”

Q. What kind of products do you offer:
A. "Uva Wine & Spirits offers a broad selection of both domestic and imported wines & spirits. We can special order, sell by the bottle or by the case, and stock seasonal varieties.

Q. And are there other services?
A. "We make gift baskets, offer a customer rewards program, have holiday specials and handle corporate accounts.

Q.  What are your specialty wines and price range?
A. "We offer a wide variety of wines that fall into every price point. Our specialty here is trying to meet every one of our customers needs. If we don't have what you want in stock, let us know and we will try to get it in for you."
