2013 "Field of Honor"

Each year the Farmingdale Kiwanis Club sets up a "Field of Honor" on the lawn of the Farmingdale library with the help of the Farmingdale High School Key Club and some of the local Boy Scout troops.
The "Field of Honor" will consist of up to two sets of Military Flags
(Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard & POW/MIA)
on either side of a field of (200) 3x5 ft American flags (made in the U.S.A) that are placed in precision rows, dedicated to thanking all of our veterans who served, are currently serving and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to provide us with the freedom we all enjoy.
You can help by sponsoring an American flag for $25
(You get the flag name tag and gold ribbon when the flags  are retired on December 7th)
Or You can sponsor a Military Flag for $200
(You get the flag gold ribbon and a custom plaque when  the flags are retired on Dec 7th)
A sponsored flag can be flown in anyone's name, it does not have to be a veteran, nor do you need to be a veteran to participate in this Great event. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Come on down to the ceremony at the Farmingdale Library.
This year's ceremony will be on Nov. 3rd downstairs in room A/B at 2:00 pm. Even if you cannot sponsor a flag, come down and show your support for this worthwhile cause.
The Kiwanis club of Farmingdale is a not for profit group of volunteers, The proceeds from this event will benefit some veterans organizations, the Farmingdale High School Key Club and some if the local Boy Scout Troops. There is no cutoff date for the sponsoring of a flag. I Hope to see everyone there.
God bless America.
