VIDEO: Infinite Yarns Relocates in Farmingdale

After five years on Main Street, Infinite Yarns moved to Hempstead Turnpike.

In its new location away from Main Street, Infinite Yarns has a bigger store which allows owner to display all types of yarn and knitting accessories.

Schneck says the main reason she did not renew her lease on was because she was looking for a bigger space. The store has more tables for customers to sit, socialize and knit and more space for the classes Infinite Yarns  offers for knitters of all levels.

Is it an issue that hobby stores in the Village of Farmindale are relocating? Tell us in the comments.

While very nice that she can expand and business is doing well, it's going to be another closed shop on main street. Granted I will probably visit more because she is moving to Hempstead turnpike...catch 22 I suppose.

Does anyone know where the new store exactly is on Hempstead Tpke? I can't think of where this address would be - is it in a strip mall - what is it next to? I also agree with Tanii - another closed store on Main St. in Fdale is sad to see.

If you are coming from the library on Merritts Road, you make a left onto Hempstead Turnpike and it is in the first shopping center on your left (next to the nursery and Long Island Athletics store, across from the big Living Faith church)

This yarn shop offers such a wide variety of yarns so unique so different each one more beautiful than the next, but what makes it even better than the best is the people in it!!! They are genuinely kind , caring, and helpful... That's a combo hard to find in todays world! Knit On!!!!

Hate to sound like an old woman, but when it was Von Leeson's it was always a joy to be there. AllRead More the staff had been there for years and treated the customers like family. Food was consistently good and they never "ran out" of anything. This place shouldn't be open for business. The poor kid waiting on us last time had to come to me and tell me they had no dessert to have with coffee other than ice cream. We left him a nice tip and I told him to find a job somewhere else; he'd never make any money there. It's a great location. We just need some smart business people to run it!

went there for breakfast the morning of the fair several weeks ago. First, how do you screw upRead More breakfast order? The young man server was doing his best, but still eggs, potatoes, and hash, no potatoes come, begged for coffee refills, ketchup was the very bottom of a heinz bottle. The excuse was sorry we have a new cook,..something tells me that aint the only problem, how does one screw up breakfast. Sorry wont be going back any time soon, unless I see a new mngment or new owner sign.

. This place is just not good. There is nothing appealing about poor service and absolutely horribleRead More food. It should have stayed closed when it went out of business not long ago. I hope the employees can find another means .
